RCMP, Melville Fire and Rescue, local EMS and STARS responded to the accident involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle in the residential area of 7th Avenue and King Street in Melville. The accident happened around 9 p.m. Monday night. STARS transported a child, who is a boy under age 12, to hospital in Saskatoon. His injuries are described as serious in nature.

Now Melville RCMP is investigating a serious collision on Highway #10 between Melville and Otthon. Otthon is located about halfway between Melville and Yorkton. The highway is currently closed, and detours are in place. Motorists are advised to visit the Highway Hotline for road closure updates.
