The Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation doesn’t know yet how much money was raised in this province from Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day on Thursday, but the Foundation’s Community Engagement Manager expects it will be in line with last year’s total of around $250,000. Jada Kook says there was a huge uptake with businesses this year, doing group orders for the whole office.
The Chief Operating Officer of Dairy Queen in Canada and the U.S. visited the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital on Miracle Treat Day and handed out Blizzards to the kids. Net proceeds from Blizzard Treats on Miracle Treat Day in Saskatchewan go to the JPCH Foundation, which is a member of the Children’s Miracle Network. Kook says the final tally from this year won’t be known for a few weeks. To date, across Canada and the U.S., $56.5 million has been raised for the Children’s Miracle Network.
