The Grand Champion Steer was exhibited by Calder Jones of the Viscount 4-H Beef Club. The 1,456 pound steer was purchased by Simplot for six-dollars a pound.
The Reserve Grand Champion Steer was shown by Haydyn Wegwitz of the Monarch Multiple 4-H Club. The price was $4.37 a pound and bought by FMC Canada.
The sales average was $4.37 a pound with local businesses purchasing steers at a premium price to recognize the hard work done by the 4-H members all year.
The Grand Champion Market Lamb was exhibited by eight-year old Kash Nordick of the Carlton Trail 4-H Club. The lamb sold for $550 to Smokehaus. Wyatt Wood of the Crown Hill 4-H Club had the Reserve Champion Market Lamb and it was purchased by Foundation Seeds for $750.
