Turtleford/Glaslyn RCMP say a canoe tipped over near a boat launch on Helene Lake Wednesday night round 9:30 and one of the people in the canoe, a teen boy, didn’t resurface. Police, including the RCMP’s Underwater Recovery Team have been searching for the boy and local fire and EMS are also on the scene helping out. If you are in the area, you will notice an increased presence of emergency personnel.
