The Saskatoon Police Service has added a new crime to its list that can be reported online – theft over $5,000. The Police Service says in a news release that reporting crime using the online system assists them in analyzing trends and allocating resources where they are most effective.
Some of the other crimes that can be reported online include identity theft or fraudulent scams, theft under $5,000, theft from a motor vehicle under five-thousand dollars, mischief or willful damage, graffiti to a vehicle or property, harassing communications, lost property under five-thousand dollars, lost or stolen license plates and hate crimes.
Police reports can still be made by calling 306-975-8300 or visiting the front desk at Saskatoon Police Service headquarters at 76 25th Street East.
