A youth from northwest Saskatchewan is subject to a terrorism peace bond after being arrested this winter on a charge of uttering threats and incitement of hatred.
A news release from the provincial RCMP indicates the Meadow Lake Detachment was in contact with the RCMP National Security Enforcement Section in March.
Due to an ongoing investigation and out of concern for public safety, the youth has entered into a Terrorism Peace Bond. The youth was released from custody and is subject to strict release conditions.
The youth cannot be identified and no other information, such as age or residency, is being released.
RCMP will not be making any additional comments at this time.
