A 27-year-old man was shot and killed by Saskatoon Police after what is being described as a “confrontation”
A Saskatoon Police Service news release says officers were called to Avenue V South and 20th Street West following a report of an armed man in the area around 10:40am.
Officers located the man in the 200 block of Avenue S South. There was a confrontation with police and that is when officers discharged their service-issued firearms, according to the news release.
The man was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
