Canada’s Farm Show is moving from June to March—starting next year.
The three day event is set for March 18th through the 20th in Regina, after spending 46 years in the third week of June.
Show organizers made the announcement on the first day of this year’s show on Tuesday. Roberta Engel is the acting president of the Regina Exhibition Association.
Engel was asked by a reporter if the decision was connected to Ag in Motion being held only one month later.
The event–formerly known as the Western Canadian Farm Progress Show—used to attract many farmers to the Queen City to view the latest in dryland farm equipment. There has been declining attendance in recent years due to conflicts with spraying and additional competition from Ag in Motion, an outdoor event held during the third week of July near Langham.
