Last Wedneday morning, just before 11:30, RCMP officers responded to an accident on Highway 9, west of the Village of Stockholm, which is about 17 kilometres west of Esterhazy. Police report a motorcycle hit a deer. The 53-year-old man from Melville who was driving the motorcycle was declared dead at the scene by EMS.
Esterhazy RCMP continue to investigate with assistance from a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
