Sixty-three-year-old Karen Aubin of Yorkton is Saskatchewan’s newest millionaire after hitting big on the Smoke Signals jackpot this past Tuesday. Karen won $1,856,327.80 on the Smoke Signals top tier progressive jackpot at the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority’s (SIGA) Painted Hand Casino in Yorkton.
She was awarded the jackpot winnings in an official cheque presentation ceremony Thursday. To date, SIGA’s Smoke Signals progressive has paid out $66,885,749 in jackpot wins. Smoke Signals has been reset to one million dollars and can be won at any time.
Smoke Signals is a SIGA-wide progressive jackpot that links 51 slot machines at all seven casinos. The jackpot can be won at any of the SIGA Casinos.
