Just after 7 a.m. Tuesday morning, Lloydminster RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion and secured the area. A news release from the RCMP says that there was an altercation, and shots were fired. Two people suffered life-threatening injuries but are expected to survive.

Four people have been located and police have yet to identify four others. The scene remains secured, but the rest of the area reopened, and Lloydminster RCMP don’t believe there is a public safety risk at this time. Preliminary information suggests there were eight people involved in this incident. Investigators are looking for witnesses as well as video footage, so anyone with information is asked to contact the police or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
