After 25 years of raising money for a children’s hospital in Saskatchewan, CEO of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, Brynn Boback-Lane has announced she will retire this fall. In a statement on social media regarding her retirement Boback-Lane says, “My chosen career has always been about living a life of intentionality, and I have witnessed firsthand the impact that is etched into the lives that have been touched because of our collective efforts.”
The Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and staff, in the wake of the announcement, say they wish to express their profound gratitude and note under her stewardship an unprecedented $221M was raised including Saskatchewan’s largest single donation of $50M for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital. The Board will now engage in a formal recruitment process.
Boback-Lane says “Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, the hospital we’ve built together, will serve our province for generations from its home on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River. It is already a significant part of our healthcare landscape and a constant reminder of the Saskatchewan spirit. The province’s children and families will always guide the Foundation’s work and I am genuinely grateful, humbled and honored to be a part of its continued journey with you.”
