The Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) is actively investigating and attempting to apprehend a man who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl Wednesday night.

At about 9 p.m., the 12-year-old girl was walking in the area of Central Avenue and 15th Street in Prince Albert when she was forced by an unknown male behind a building on the south side of 15th Street and sexually assaulted her, using an edged weapon to prevent her escape. The suspect was described as wearing all black – shoes, pants and hat – and concealed his face with a black mask. The victim connected with the PAPS Mobile Crisis for support after the suspect released her.
