The Saskatoon Fire Department was involved in a water rescue Monday afternoon on the south side of the South Saskatchewan River by the Senator Sid Buckwold Bridge.
Fire officials say the call came in at 3:20 p.m. and firefighters found a conscious person lying in the shallow water. Fire personnel were able to move the person out of the water onto the bank of the river to allow E-M-S personnel to administer care.
There was no further information given in the news release as to the person’s condition.
