This morning just before 11:30am, the Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a report that a vehicle had driven through the side of an apartment building.
As crews arrived at the building, which sits in the 300 block of Herold Road in Lakewood, they observed an SUV stuck part-way into the apartment building near the stairwell.
According to a release from the fire department, the driver was taken out of the vehicle and brought to an ambulance, and a tow truck pulled their vehicle out of the wall. The apartment building was reinforced for safety, and the scene was turned over to an investigator.
All occupants of the building were safety evacuated.
