The Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan has announced that it will be opening a 10-bedroom transitional housing program in Saskatoon this summer.
The transitional housing will be aimed at assisting women and gender diverse people who are recently stepping out of custody either on bail, probation, or parole.
In a Facebook post, the Society says offering a safe and stable environment will provide the foundation upon which women can build their futures.
The residents will also be connected with resources and services to help them address underlying issues, pursue educational and employment opportunities, and thrive in their communities.
