There is an announcement this afternoon at 1 p.m. at the Saskatoon Police Headquarters.

The Saskatoon Board of Police Commissioners will announce who is being named Saskatoon’s new police chief.

Former chief Troy Cooper announced his retirement on October 19th after almost six years on the job and his final day was January 16th this year.

It was expected a new police chief would be announced in the spring.
