Most of Saskatchewan is experiencing a well below normal runoff or the runoff is already over.

The Water Security Agency released its new runoff map on Friday morning. It shows the well below normal runoff area covering the entire northern half of the province—stretching as far south as Meadow Lake, Prince Albert and Melfort. Similar conditions are being reported over much of southern Saskatchewan from roughly Saskatoon and south to the US border.

There is a below normal runoff area that covers the Lloydminster, Wynyard, and Hudson Bay regions.

There are two pockets of near normal runoff in areas that had more winter snow. One is northwest of Saskatoon that runs from North Battleford and over to Spiritwood and the other is in the east central region around Yorkton. SaskWater Agency spokesperson Patrick Boyle said in a Friday interview that a high flow advisory is in place for much of the Parkland.
