A physician who has worked out of a clinic on 8th Street East is facing disciplinary charges for allegedly urging a patient not to get an abortion.
According to the information from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Dr. Terence Davids is accused of telling the patient, “I think you will regret this and you can’t take it back,” and “I think you should reconsider.”
He also reportedly said, I hope you have loved ones in heaven who will take care of your baby in heaven.”
The charge document from the Executive Committee of the College of Physicians and Surgeons says Davids is charged with being guilty of unbecoming, improper, unprofessional, or discreditable conduct contrary to the provisions of Section 46(o) and/or (p) of The Medical Profession Act.
Dr. Davids received his medical degree in 2002 from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. He completed both the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination and the Saskatchewan International Physician Practice Assessment in 2012.
