CJWW is proud to partner with SaskTIP as we try to solve their “Crime of the Month”.
SaskTip chairman Lorne Scott joined Dave Thomas Monday morning to highlight some of the work of SaskTip in our province and this month’s Crime Of The Month:
The March Crime of the Month:
“Cow Moose Unlawfully Harvested”. On February 23, Regina conservation officers received information regarding a cow moose that had been unlawfully harvested on private land approximately 6km north of Zehner, SK. Officers believe the moose was killed sometime on February 22 or 23.
There was no moose season open during this time and it was killed within 500m of occupied residences. The moose was barrel dressed (four quarters removed), and officers noted that the cow was pregnant at the time of harvest, leaving behind a formed fetus.
