Neighbourhood Information Sessions to discuss the 30-space emergency shelter to be located at former Fire Station on Central Avenue have been rescheduled for Monday, March 11, which is a virtual session, and Tuesday, March 12, for an in-person session.
Meeting details, including times and locations, will be available online as well as provided directly to Sutherland area residents and businesses within a 500-metre radius of the former fire station.
The sessions will cover the need for shelters in Saskatoon, as well as the role of the City, the Government of Saskatchewan and the service provider, which is The Mustard Seed, in overall planning.
How the City chose the shelter’s location, day to day operations, attendees’ feedback on ways to best integrate a new shelter into the area, and expectations of any businesses or residents will able be topics of discussion.
