A 56-year-old Swift Current man has been charged with possession of child exploitation offences following a Internet Child Exploitation Unit investigation.
Members of the ICE Unit began an online investigation into child luring in December 2023, and subsequently executed a search warrant at a home in Swift Current.
As a result, Derrick Heebner was charged with luring a child by means of telecommunication to commit invitation to sexual touching and possession of child pornography on Tuesday.
He appeared in court and was released on numerous conditions. His next court appearance will be March 13 in Swift Current.
