A 32-year-old man was shot and killed at a residence on 93rd Street in North Battleford on Friday with North Battleford R-C-M-P searching for two men believed to be involved in the incident.
Jordan Wright of North Battleford was declared deceased at the scene shortly after North Battleford R-C-M-P and E-M-S arrived on the scene just after 6 p.m. on February 2. Saskatchewan Major Crimes is investigating Wright’s death as a homicide with their initial investigation saying the incident is not believed to be random in nature. The investigation determined that two males entered the house armed with weapons and an altercation took place with a firearm being discharged. The suspects fled on foot. Police are asking anyone who may have information that would help with the investigation to call 310-RCMP or 911 in an emergency or submit information anonymously to Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers. RCMP say residents will notice an increased police presence over the next few days as the investigation continues.
