Six new Highway Hotline cameras have been installed across the province, bringing the total number of online cameras to over 50.
A news release from the province says that this expansion enhances the network, offering motorists improved travel insights.
The six new cameras are located on Highway 6 near Dafoe, Highway 6 near Naicam, Highway 14 near Macklin, Highway 16 near Sheho, Highway 40 near Blaine Lake, and Highway 55 near Smeaton.
The very first four Highway Hotline cameras were integrated into the system in 2011. It included one along Highway 2 near Weyakwin between La Ronge and Prince Albert; two along Highway 11 between Saskatoon and Regina with one south of Dundurn and another at Davidson, and one along Highway 3 near Paradise Hill northeast of Lloydminster.
