A Prince Albert resident has won $500,000 on a Countdown to Christmas scratch ticket.
Emile Tessier was in Hague, Saskatchewan to shop for a truck on December 11, when he decided to buy a lottery ticket.
He typically purchases Lotto 6/49 and Lotto Max tickets but had just won $200 on a Countdown to Christmas scratch ticket and decided to buy a second one with his winnings.
Aside from a new truck, he says he’s hoping to purchase land outside of the city and this will go a long way to making that dream come true.
Tessier purchased his winning ticket for $30 at Hague Shell, located on Highway 11 and Louis Riel Trail in Hague.
