UFA turned on the pumps earlier this month at its new location in the Rural Municipality of Corman Park, about five kilometres northwest of Saskatoon on Highway 16.

UFA is a well-known entity in Alberta with more than 100 locations. The co-operative has been expanding in Saskatchewan with facilities at Macklin, Kindersley, Swift Current, Yorkton, and Weyburn.

Dustin and Paige Wiebe are the UFA petroleum agents at the Corman Park location, which features a cardlock, wide lines and high-speed pumps.

Don Smith is UFA’s vice-president of Petroleum and Innovation.

Community involvement—and 4-H in particular—is important for UFA.

Smith says good construction weather this year allowed them to complete the facility sooner than expected. An official grand opening will take place next spring.
