Update: The Regina woman who stole a taxi and then proceeded to collide with two businesses and drive through the Regina Cornwall Centre has been identified.
Saturday at 2:48am, police officers responded to a report of theft of a Regina Co-Op Taxi in the 1100 block of Angus Street. Through investigation, police say they learned that the 32-year-old female suspect entered the taxi and threatened to kill the driver resulting in the driver exiting and the woman stealing the taxi.
Moments later a traffic stop was conducted, but the taxi evaded police. Shortly after 3:00 a.m., the stolen taxi was spotted as it rammed into the front doors of a business in the 2200 block of Broad Street. Just after 3:15 a.m., the taxi was observed having drove through the front of a business in the 1800 block of Hamilton Street.
Now with significant damage, police observed the taxi drive through the south entrance doors of the Cornwall Centre where it came to a stop. It then, once again, began moving and drove through the north entrance of the mall near Saskatchewan Drive. The taxi became hung up on the stairs and the driver, Dakota Louison, was taken into custody.
She is facing 12 charges and will appear in Regina Provincial Court on these charges on Monday.

The Regina Police Service has arrested a 31-year-old woman after she drove a stolen taxi through the front of several businesses.
At 2:48 a.m. this morning, members of the Regina Police Service responded to a report of the theft of a Regina Co-Op Taxi in the 1100 block of Angus Street.
During the first attempt at a traffic stop, the vehicle evaded police. Shortly after 3:00 a.m., the stolen taxi was spotted as it rammed into the front doors of a business in the 2200 block of Broad Street. For 15 minutes, officers say the taxi drove around at slow speeds before it was observed driving through the front of a business in the 1800 block of Hamilton Street at 3:15.
Next, on 11th Avenue, police observed the Taxi turn north and drive through the south entrance doors of the Cornwall Centre. It drove into the main level of the Cornwall Centre and came to a stop.
Officers approached the Taxi on foot inside the mall and once again, it drove through the north entrance of the mall near Saskatchewan Drive. The Taxi became hung up on the stairs, and the woman was taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing and charges against the driver have not been determined.
