Saskatoon Police are providing an update on the homicide that occurred on Thursday, the 11th one Saskatoon has seen this year.
Investigation has determined the 33-year-old male victim was involved in a confrontation with an individual that led to the victim sustaining a gunshot wound at around 1:30 that morning. He was transported to hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
At this time, it does not appear they were known to each other. Another man was with the victim at the time of the incident; however, he was not injured.
Residents in the area of the 2700 block of 21st Street West are asked to check their home surveillance systems between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on December 14 and contact police with any information.
