The St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation’s 34th annual Mistletoe Ball and the proceeds from SaskMade Marketplace Mistletoe baskets have raised over $270,000 for new equipment to support the da Vinci surgical robot. The Foundation is raising funds for a BK Ultrasound System and Anaesthesia Machine to go alongside the da Vinci Surgical robot. CEO of the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation, Lecina Hicke, says the proceeds from the ball and the baskets will help to expand Daryl’s capabilities even further. Daryl is the robot. Hicke says highly trained surgeons have been using Daryl to perform minimally invasive surgeries and improve patient outcomes since September of last year.
