A Lloydminster man was arrested in Saskatoon last night and has been charged with impaired driving following a collision.
At 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, police were called to the area of Idylwyld Drive South and Taylor Street East for a single-vehicle collision.
Witnesses told officers that they saw a person run from the damaged vehicle on foot, and members of the Air Support Unit were able to locate him.
Officers say the 30-year-old Lloydminster man was displaying signs consistent with impairment, and he was placed under arrest before being transported to hospital by paramedics.
A blood demand was made at the hospital, however he refused to provide one. The man has been charged with impaired driving and refusing to comply with a demand.
