Saskatoon City Council has approved a veteran parking pilot project as a permanent program in the City of Saskatoon.

Any driver with a valid SGI Veteran licence plate can park in Saskatoon pay parking zones free-of-charge within the posted time restrictions.

Prior to the pilot program veterans had to actually fill out an application proving their service and that they lived within 30 kilometres of Saskatoon as well as being the owner/operator of the vehicle.

This is for on-street pay parking zones only and does not include public or private parking lots.
