The World Trade Centre at Saskatoon’s Prairieland Park will be bustling with leaders, presenters, and lands & resource representatives for the Prince Albert Grand Council’s Clean Energy Climate Change Conference and Tradeshow.
Mel Mercredi with the PAGC says the event aims to teach participants about opportunities for First Nations communities to operate sustainably. It will feature presentations from 12 experts on topics such as developing strategies to manage fuel transportation costs, harnessing wind and solar power, hosting community education sessions on the benefits of clean energy, combatting heating inadequacies in on-reserve housing with modern insulation, Small Modular Reactors, and Clearcutting & Forest Destruction.
Woven in between three days of presentations, there will be pipe ceremonies, hot breakfasts, panel discussions, and health breaks. On Tuesday, a gala event featuring comedian Don Burnstick will take place.
