Tours of the spookiest buildings on the University of Saskatchewan campus will be taking place every night until Halloween as part of the Diefenbaker Canada Center’s Ghost Tours.
Cat Woloschuck, one of the tour leaders, says participants will be guided around campus, with a stop at each building that is known for its haunted past. The tour guide will fill the group in on the alleged ghost sightings and encounters that have occurred at that very building.
These stops include the Diefenbaker Canada Gallery itself, the law library, the archaeology building, and the sculpture garden. The residences, the Peter McKinnon Building, and Kirk Hall are also on the list.
For a less-scary alternative, Cat says the Children’s Ghost Tour is a great fit, as well as 15-20 minutes shorter than the adult tours, which take place from 7:00-8:30pm, and 7:30-9:00pm. Children will also be invited to take part in a scavenger hunt in the Diefenbaker Canada Center’s Gallery, with a prize to be won when completed.
Tickets can be purchased at Diefenbaker.USask.ca for $15 per adult and $10 per child. Cat reminds participants to dress warm, and costumes are also welcome.
