Nearly a year after a fatal collision occurred on Regina’s Ring Road, the female driver of one of the vehicles involved is facing criminal charges. Nineteen-year-old Jamie Tessmer of Regina appeared in Provincial Court on Thursday, charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance causing death in connection with the November 2, 2022 two-vehicle collision on Ring Road between the Wascana Parkway and Albert Street.
The male driver of a black Ford truck, that ended up in the ditch, was pronounced dead at the scene. Tessmer was driving a southbound white Ford car that Regina Police Service investigators determined entered the centre ditch and continued into the northbound lane into oncoming traffic, colliding with the Ford truck. Tessmer, who was 18 at the time of the collision, was treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
