Parkland Ambulance Paramedics are reminding everyone to travel safe, as the Thanksgiving long weekend is approaching. A release from the group states that you are more likely to be involved in a vehicle collision on a long weekend due to extra traffic and everyone who could be in a hurry to get to their destination.
As of 7:00am Monday morning, the service responded to 220 incidents over the weekend. For example, at 6:44pm on Friday, Parkland Ambulance Paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision on highway #302 east near 7-mile road. Paramedics cared for four people with minor injuries, and they were taken to hospital in good and stable condition.
At 9;46 on Saturday, they responded to a motor vehicle collision on highway #692 in the Shellbrook area. Paramedics cared for one person with minor injuries, and they were taken to hospital in good and stable condition.
