The Saskatoon Blades will likely have Egor Sidorov (pictured) and Austin Elliott back at practice Wednesday.
Sidorov, a 19-year-old right winger, was one of eight junior players assigned to their junior teams by Anaheim Tuesday. Goaltender Elliott, also 19, was one of seven players assigned to their junior teams by Nashville. The Bridge City Bunch announced that 16-year-old forward Colten Worthington has been reassigned to Brandon of the Manitoba Under-18 Triple-A League. That reduces the Blue and Gold’s roster to 25 players – three goaltenders, eight defencemen and 14 forwards with two players still away at N-H-L training camps. The Blades visit Medicine Hat Saturday and Calgary Sunday while the Prince Albert Raiders are in Brandon tomorrow.
Speaking of the N-H-L, there are seven pre-season games Tuesday night – all involving American-based teams. Former Saskatoon centre Tristen Robins could suit up for San Jose as they host the Ducks. Last night, in Nashville’s 5-2 loss to Florida, Bridge City Bunch defenceman and Predators’ first round pick Tanner Molendyk played 18 minutes and 15 seconds with one hit and two shot blocks. Forward Jake Chiasson is still listed on Edmonton’s roster.
