A Regina resident left Lloydminster’s Gold Horse Casino as a millionaire after winning the Smoke Signals jackpot early Sunday Morning.
Jeffery Stepaniuk was awarded his winnings on Thursday in an official cheque presentation ceremony by members of SIGA management. After Stepaniuk’s win of $1,490,640, the Smoke Signals jackpot was reset to one million dollars and is ready to be won again.
To date, SIGA’s Smoke Signals progressive has paid out over $61.7 million jackpot wins.
Smoke Signals is a SIGA-wide jackpot that links 51 slot machines at all seven casinos. There are three mystery jackpot tiers that increase over time, the largest one with a minimum value of $1,000,000. It pays out before it hits $2,000,000. Each time a patron plays a Smoke Signals slot machine, any of the jackpots could be triggered.
