A man from Maple Creek has been charged with possession of child pornography after an investigation by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit.

On Thursday, officers issued a search warrant at the man’s residence, where the offence was occurring.

Thirty-year-old Kiyomichi Nakanishi was arrested after several electronic devices were examined.

The investigation continues, as there may be additional charges forthcoming.

He was released on several conditions, and his court date is September 14th.
