After an extensive search, Charlene Gavel has been appointed to become SaskTel’s new president and CEO. The move comes after former President, Doug Burnett, announced his retirement in February of this year.
Gavel has been the Chief Financial Officer for SaskTel for 9 years, and prior to that she was the CFO at SaskTel International and held positions with the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region as CFO and Vice President of Financial Services. She also worked at Information Services Corporation as CFO and Vice President of Finance and Administration.

Gavel earned a Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of Regina and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. She has also received the Institute of Corporate Directors designation in 2018.
