The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling six brands of energy drinks due to caffeine content and labelling requirements.
The brands include Ghost, Fast Twitch, C4, Bang, Cocaine, and Ryse Fuel. All flavours which contain caffeine are being recalled, as well as those without bilingual labelling.
The government suggests that if you think you’ve gotten sick due to caffeine content after drinking any of these beverages, that you contact your local health care provider and report it to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Six different brands were recalled on July 12th for the same reasons, including 3D Alphaland, 5 Hour, Celsius, GFuel, Prime, and Sting.
Excess levels of caffeine may cause adverse health effects for children, pregnant individuals, breastfeeding individuals, and those sensitive to caffeine. Exercising while consuming caffeine may lead to adverse health effects, including insomnia, irritability, headaches, and nervousness.
