Kaylin Bartel from Watrous—a member of the Carlton Trail 4-H Beef Club—exhibited the Grand Champion Steer at the Prairieland Finished Beef Show on Monday.
The 1,243 steer was purchased by Manitou Mainline Chrysler from Watrous for $8 a pound on Monday evening.
The Reserve Grand Champion was a 1,378-pound steer shown by Erica Zoerb from Delisle, a member of the Vanscoy Multiple (Beef) Club. A trio of buyers purchased the Reserve Grand Champion steer for $3.60 a pound—- Sunrise Builders, Saskatoon Cylinder Exchange and Zoerb Electric.
The Champion Market Lamb, exhibited by Lane Nordick of the Carlton Trail 4-H Beef Club, fetched a top bid of $1,100 and was purchased by Rafter-N-Trucking (Nokomis, SK) and McCrate Land and Cattle out of Vermillion, Alberta.

CJWW continued its proud tradition of supporting 4-H by purchasing a steer in partnership with Market Tire. The 1,347-pound steer was exhibited by Charlize Gareau of Perdue, a member of the Vanscoy Multiple (Beef) Club.
