The man who was assaulted at a residence in Meota last week has died from his injuries.
On Thursday at 1 a.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of an assault at a residence in Meota. Upon arrival, police investigation determined an altercation occurred between two adult men who are known to each other.
Fifty-six-year-old Richard Buck was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious. As a result, 29-year-old Clarence Buck from North Battleford was charged with aggravated assault. However, the victim was reported deceased as of Saturday, and Clarence Buck has now been charged with one count of manslaughter.
He is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Tuesday.
