RCMP say the death of a 32-year-old woman in North Battleford on the weekend is considered a homicide.
Friday night the North Battleford RCMP were called out to a home in the 1400 block of 114th Street after getting a report of an injured person. The officers who responded provided what medical assistance they could until EMS arrived, but Kaylee Crookedneck of the Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation, died at the scene.
The RCMP have released her name with the goal of furthering the investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to contact their nearest RCMP detachment, or call Crimestoppers 1-800-222-8477.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, The Prince Albert RCMP, North Battleford Municipal Police, Provincial RCMP General Investigation Section, Forensic Identification Services and the Saskatchewan Coroners service are involved in the investigation.
