Two women have been arrested and charged in connection to Saskatoon’s fifth homicide of 2023. A 42-year-old woman and a 37-year-old woman have been charged with Second Degree Murder and will be in Saskatoon Provincial Court today.

On Saturday afternoon Saskatoon Police responded to a weapons call in Riversdale. The call came in at 1:22 p.m. from a home in the 300 block of Avenue H South and police found a severely injured 35-year-old woman when they arrived.

Medavie Health Services paramedics transported the woman to Royal University Hospital, and she succumbed to her injuries shortly after.  The suspects and the victim, police say, appear to be known to each other.
