The City of Saskatoon’s popular Household Hazardous Waste (H-H-W) Drop Off Days continue to be delayed from happening in 2023 – because a vendor has yet to be confirmed.
The H-H-W collection events, that have been held in past years, will begin once a contract has been awarded for the program. In the meantime, other options for disposal of common H-H-W material include taking household paint, batteries and electronics to any SARCAN depot at no cost; used oil, antifreeze and containers can be dropped off at a S-A-R-R-C EcoCentre at the Saskatoon Landfill for no tipping fee if the materials are identified when entering the landfill. The City intends on providing an update on H-H-W programming in late June.
