The Government of Saskatchewan says two more buildings that housed government run liquor board stores have been sold.
The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority has accepted offers for the properties located in Biggar and Watrous with the total purchase price for both buildings priced at $800,000.
SLGA previously accepted offers on properties located in the communities of Esterhazy, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows, Creighton, Carlyle, Humboldt and Moosomin. To date, nine properties have been sold amounting to $2,885,000.
SLGA Retail Inc. owned 19 of its 34 store properties. Five of the buildings will be repurposed for other government organizations. The 35 liquor permits auctioned off in February came to a total of almost $45 million. The largest bid overall was for a La Ronge permit at $3,270,000.
