The Rural Municipality of Corman Park—which surrounds the City of Saskatoon—is the latest jurisdiction to declare a fire ban.
That ban went into effect at 9 this morning (Monday) and does not allow for any open flame fires to be lit. This includes fire pits, burning barrels, controlled burns and fire works.
Other RM’s that have already implemented fire bans in the Saskatoon region include Vanscoy and Duck Lake. Two other fire bans have been announced in the northwest for the RM’s of Frenchman Butte and Mervin.
