In addition to the new Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre, three other organizations have been approved to offer Kindergarten to Grade 12 online to Saskatchewan students.
The organizations that met the Provincial Quality of Assurance Framework’s requirements were Regina Catholic Schools, Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, and FlexEd. Education Minister Dustin Duncan said that adding additional high quality online learning options provides students with more educational choice. All approved education providers had to commit to a three-year agreement with the Ministry of Education. The agreements can either be expanded or terminated if both parties agree. A Memorandum of Understanding will be signed with the three approved organizations in the near future. All schools offering online education in the 2023-24 school year will display their available courses online to make sure students and their families can choose courses that best meet their needs.
