Four athletes and three builders were announced today as the Class of 2023 inductees to the Saskatchewan Sports Hall-of-Fame.
Multi-sport athlete Jamie Boyer nee Cruickshank of Saskatoon is joined in the athlete category by hockey players Hayley Wickenheiser of Shaunovan and Ryan Getzlaf of Regina plus soccer’s Joan McEachern of Leroy. The builders are Noreen Murphy of Saskatoon in the sports of softball, Bernadette McIntyre of Bethune and Regina from curling and multi-sport executive Lorne Lasuita of Wynyard. Announces the Class of 2023
The Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame (SSHF) is pleased to announce the seven (7) inductees
who will become the newest members of the SSHF this fall.
The Class of 2023 features four inductees in the athlete category and three in the builder
category.
The 2023 inductees are:
IN THE ATHLETE CATEGORY:
Jaime (Cruickshank) Boyer (Saskatoon) – Multi-sport
Ryan Getzlaf (Regina)– Hockey
Joan McEachern (Leroy) –Soccer
Hayley Wickenheiser OC (Shaunavon) – Hockey
IN THE BUILDER CATEGORY:
Lorne Lasuita (Wynyard) – Multi-sport

The 55thAnnual Induction Dinner & Ceremony at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina on Saturday,
September 23, 2023. Tickets are $110 per person and are on sale now at the Hall of Fame’s

The accomplishments of the 2023 Induction Class will also be featured in our Dedication to Sport
exhibit, which opens on induction weekend and will remain up through August 2024, as we share
with the people of Saskatchewan the great sport history of our province.
