A conducted energy weapon was used to arrest two Saskatoon men after the report of a stolen vehicle.
Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. police received information about a vehicle that was stolen from a parking lot in the 600 block of Spadina Cresent.
Officers tracked the missing vehicle using GPS technology to Saskatoon’s Parkridge neighbourhood.
Upon arrival in the 100 block of Gropper Cresent police say two men were standing beside the vehicle, they issued verbal commands and one of the suspects tried to flee on foot.
The CEW was deployed and both men were arrested without incident.
Further investigation resulted in a 37-year-old man being charged with possession of stolen property over $5000, and a 35-year-old man is charged with failing to comply with court-imposed conditions.
